You love Instagram photography, and you happen to be in Zürich? Here are some classic viewpoints you don’t want to miss in the city. Net walking time is less than half an hour. Click on the pictures for locations and directions.
Grossmünster tower
Let’s start off with the classic view from Grossmünster tower. On clear days bring your zoom to capture the mountain skyline.
Münsterbrücke
From Grossmünster go to the bridge. You’ll be rewarded with this view.
General Guisan-Quai
Classic view from General Guisan-Quai. Shoot the reflections in the morning or at night.
Bürkliplatz
Bürkliplatz connects the inner city with the lake side.
By the way the most touristy (but not too grammable) spot here is the flower watch.
Paradeplatz
Look twice: Paradeplatz has more to offer than the big banks’ head quarters.
Augustinergasse
Shoot & shop in the old town.
Schipfe
Enough of shopping? Walk back to Limmat.
Street and river views from the old town.
Lindenhof
Lindenhof is not only one of the oldest places. It’s also a classic spot for every first-time visitor
Neumarkt
Neumarkt is not exactly on our route. But if you have some 10 minutes to spare, make a little detour in the streets of Niederdorf.
Mühlesteg
Would you like to give your shots some perspective? How about the love locks at Mühlesteg.
Jules Verne Bar
Why not finish off your photo tour with some drinks with a sunset view from Jules Verne Bar, Uraniastrasse.
The city has a lot more to offer than this little tour in the old town for sure.
