Just hiking is over: more instagrammable hikes in Switzerland (II)

Just hiking is over: Hiking & shooting pictures is the new black! Here’s a little selection of instagramable hikes in Northern and Eastern Switzerland. All hikes are strenuous and take at least a few hours each if you are a photographer… But each one covers amazing instagramable views you might have seen from great Instagram photographers before.

Grevas Alvas, Engadin

Early mornings in Grevas Alvas offer views of lake Sils, Maloja and upper Engadin. The little hamlet Blaunca was the setting for two Heidi movies. This hike is only one of the several hundreds of great routes in Graubünden.

Fälensee, Appenzell

If you’ve already done the bucket-list hike Seealpsee – Wildkirchli – Ebenalp then Fälensee might be for you.

5 lakes hike in Pizol, Heidiland

Pizol is a photographers’ paradise where you can shoot five spectacular lakes and many more views in one tour (July to October). Do not hike here on weekends if you can. Make sure to keep moving in order not to miss the last funicular 😉

Hiking at lake Walensee

Let’s finish off our list with two hidden gems! Located between steep moutains and a deep lake, Quinten has never seen any car. Start your hike in Weesen and or Walenstadt to Quinten and take the boat back. Why not shoot a Instagram direct message to me @Quintner as we could meet up here 😉

Another recommendation a bit off the beaten track above Walensee is Murgsee. By the way, Murgsee is the only hike on this list where you should use a car to get to the starting point.

Thanks for joining this little overview. Did you get inspired? Any hikes you miss? Questions? Comments? Ideas? Leave a comment on our Instagram post, or below. Always check weather conditions and the funiculars’ timetables before your tour.
